    Terms of Service

These terms explain how Immerse works, what you can expect from the product, and what we ask from users in return.

    Last updated: March 18, 2026

    1. Welcome to Immerse

These Terms of Service govern your use of Immerse, available at immersebooks.com, and any related web experiences, features, and paid plans we offer. When we say "Immerse," "we," or "us," we mean the Immerse team and platform.

By using Immerse, creating an account, or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

    2. Who can use Immerse

You must be at least 13 years old to use Immerse. Some books, chats, or discovery experiences may involve mature themes, including dark romance or other adult material. You must be at least 18 years old to access or engage with those mature experiences.

If you use Immerse on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

    3. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are also responsible for activity that happens under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, or misuse the platform.

    4. Acceptable use

Please use Immerse respectfully and lawfully. You may not:

    • scrape, harvest, mirror, or bulk-download the platform or its content
    • abuse character chat, including prompt attacks, spam, or exploit attempts
    • harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users, authors, creators, or our team
    • upload or submit unlawful, infringing, or malicious material
    • probe, overload, or interfere with the service, APIs, billing flow, or security systems
    • use Immerse to build a competing dataset, model, or service from our output or product behavior

We may remove content, limit access, or terminate accounts when this section is violated.

    5. AI-generated experiences

Immerse uses AI to generate and personalize parts of the experience, including cinematic trailers, audio, and character chat. These features are designed for entertainment, discovery, and immersion.

AI-generated output may be imperfect. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, stylized, anachronistic, or inconsistent with source material. Character chat is fictional roleplay, not factual advice. Please use your own judgment and refer to the original work when accuracy matters.

    6. Discovery books and author relationship

Immerse creates discovery pages and promotional experiences to celebrate books and help readers find stories they may love. Unless we explicitly say otherwise, those discovery experiences are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the author, estate, publisher, or rights holder.

Discovery pages may include links to official retailers or affiliate buy links. Those links are intended to support discovery and help users find official purchase options.

    7. Copyright and intellectual property

We respect author, publisher, and creator rights. If you believe content on Immerse infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us or use our DMCA process.

Except for your own submissions and any rights granted by law, Immerse and its licensors retain all rights in the service, branding, software, and original platform materials. These terms do not transfer ownership of our product or content to you.

    8. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance and automatically renew until canceled. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis.

You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal or any billing tools we make available in the product. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months or unused time unless required by law.

We may change pricing, plan features, or billing terms in the future. If we do, we will provide notice before the change takes effect.

    9. Feedback, requests, and submissions

If you send us feedback, feature ideas, book requests, bug reports, or similar submissions, you keep ownership of what you submit. You also give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate that feedback to operate and improve Immerse.

This lets us learn from user suggestions without needing to negotiate a separate agreement each time.

    10. Creator program

If you participate in an Immerse creator, affiliate, or ambassador program, additional program rules may apply. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, creator participation is non-exclusive.

    • commissions are calculated under the active creator program terms
    • approved payouts are issued monthly
    • the minimum payout threshold is $25
    • content you submit for creator-program use is licensed to us on a non-exclusive basis so we can display, promote, and distribute it in connection with Immerse

    11. Availability and changes

We are constantly improving Immerse. That means features may change, pause, or be discontinued. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or error-free.

We may update these terms from time to time. If an update is material, we will provide notice through the product, by email, or by posting an updated date on this page. Your continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.

    12. Disclaimers

Immerse is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be secure, accurate, or free from bugs, downtime, or AI mistakes.

    13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Immerse and its officers, employees, contractors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or use.

Our total liability for claims arising out of or related to Immerse will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or $100.

    14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that venue and jurisdiction.
